Bressanone is the third city, for population, of the Indipendent Province Bolzano-Alto Adige.

It is the historical, artistic, cultural, economic, social and administrative state capital of the Isarco Valley’s district.Very pretty is the civic center, with its thousand-year old surrounding wall and with the Duomo Square overlooked by the impressive cathedral, Baroque style, consecrated to Saint Maria Assunta. You can’t miss a visit to the Nova Cella Benedectine Abbey.Of particular interest are also the Bishop’s Palace and the Town Hall.

At the confluence of the Isarco and Rienza rivers, the south-tyrolean town is a destination for holidays throughout the year because it offers, next to the natural and architectural beauty, tempting walks and, during the winter, perfectly snowy slopes in the Plose Group that, with its 2500 meters of altitude, ensures unmissable ski days until late spring.
