The “Route 1 du Panathlon” looks like, this year, as an event organized by Area1, strongly desired and supported from the Past-Governor Flavio Zampieri and now by the Governor Giorgio Chinellato.

The direction of “Route 1 du Panathlon 2016” has been entrusted to Ivana Moresco, Past-President of the Panathlon Club Bassano, club which has historically been promoter of this event.The proven strength of this event is the cooperation of the Panathlon Clubs of: Munich, Innsbruck, Bressanone, Bozen, Trento, Bassano del Grappa, Cittadella, Padua, Mestre and Venice and with the participation of the city of Mittenwald, where should shortly born a new Panathlon Club.With enthusiasm, passion and a certain degree of effort, participants will run the 575 kilometers from Munich to Venice, a mountainous route in its first part and flat in the final one.

Purpose of the event is highlight the relevance of the creation of cycling lanes and especially of a continue cycling route, well-defined and safe which connect Munich to Venice, with appropriate indications concerning everything related to cycle-tourism: hotels, restaurants, tourist and cultural sites and bike shops.

Panathlon Planet will illustrate the enterprise of the protagonists, the testimonials of the “Route du Panathlon n. 1”, ensigns of a Panathlon eager to promote the cycle-tourism.
