Trento is located in the river Adige’s valley, enclosed in the mountains, of which the most known and haunted, also in the winter period, is Mount Bondone.

The old city is enhanced by the imposing cathedral, religious building known for hosting, in the middle of 1500, the famous Council of Trento.In the square center, that houses it, is the Nettuno’s fountain. Walking looking upwards you can admire many frescoes left by the hands of artists of the past.

To be visited, certainly, is the Buonconsiglio Castle, which, for five centuries, was the seat of the city’s bishops. To keep in mind, after the admiration of exquisite crafted paintings, that here were jailed, by the austo-hungarians, three famous irredentists: Cesare Battisti, Fabio Filzi and Damiano Chiesa. In the “Martyrs’ Grave” was shot, on May 1916, Chiesa and, in July, were hanged in Filzi and Battisti.
